A near 20 year career veteran with the Division of Student Affairs at UCSB, Lupe is fascinated with the stages of human development. She has spent her career mentoring and coaching people toward their short and long-term goals. Lupe describes her personal development as “…growing along with my life stages. Whatever was going on in my life, I was active in it.” Whether it was serving as a co-president of Postpartum Education for Parents, and the University Children’s Center’s Parent Council or serving on a PTA Board, I used my family life to further develop my leadership skills. Currently, Lupe is a member of the Professional Women’s Association, Chancellor’s Staff Advisory Council, and the Emergency Management Task Force. She is also helping co-facilitate a pilot Professional Development Group through the Division of Student Affairs.
